History |
Abundant Life Christian Church began in 1977 with eleven people under the leadership of Bishop W.W. Thomas and his wife, Sister Edith. Since that time, the congregation has experienced continuous growth and is today one of the larger independent churches in South Florida.
Under the direction of Bishop Rick Thomas, the church reaches out through a variety of ministries including foreign and home missions, church planting, television, internet, music, singles, youth, and children, as well as community efforts. With the theme of Reaching our World with Life, the church seemed destined to integrate a Christian school into its outreaches. The Academy was birthed in 1990 with preschool through third grade enrolling seventy students. Today, the Academy has expanded to serve a growing number of students annually from preschool to high school. |
